It is generally believed that Nigerian women are exploited and marginalized. The low proportion of women among economic and political decision makers at both local, national, regional and international levels reflects structural and attitudinal barriers that need to be addressed through positive measures.


It is also generally believed that when you empower a woman, you are empowering a nation. There are lots of women empowerment schemes, practical seminars, enlightenment and skill acquisition programmes as well as sensitization workshops organized by various groups, including the government. These have gone along way to improve the economic status of women; Although a very small percentage have been affected as we have over 68 million women in Nigeria.


Amongst the few empowered women, have we really bothered to check their progress in business? How are these women coping with competition?
How are they adopting and coping with the speed of fast-changing technologies.

Today, we are living in a chaotic transition period to a new age defined by global competition, rapid changes, faster flow of information and communication, increasing business complexity, and pervasive globalization.

So how do women key in?
